In the name of Allah, the most beneficent, the most merciful. We would like to welcome you to the )first step in establishing an AΛM (Alpha Lambda Mu chapter at your university. May Allah put barakah in your effort & may this be the first step in establishing a colony & a future chapter at your university.
The purpose of colonization is for a colony to familiarize itself with the values and principles of Alpha Lambda Mu while learning how to operate as a successful chapter. Rather than being initiated as a chapter immediately, going
through the colonization process will allow the group to gain a better understanding of successful practices under the guidance of the National Executive Board. Remember, the goal is to become a sustainable chapter that empowers its members into future generations.

Application Process
The steps below are the details behind what we call, Phase 0.
Phase 0 allows us to better understand who you are as applicants as well as see the potential of being Alpha Lambda Mu to your school.
STEP 1
Application
Make sure you take your time filling out the application, as well as reaching out to the expansion department with any questions you have. We are here to help and guide you.
STEP 2
Expansion department reviewal
The expansion department will thoroughly go over your application, as well as the resources you provided. Furthermore, we might reach out to you to provide further detail if need be.
STEP 3
Initial interview
If it seems like there is an initial match, we will move forward with an interview with an executive board member to better understand your situation and background.
STEP 4
Membership Info forms
During this step, we will be asking for you and the applicants to fill out forms to get a deeper understanding of where you are in your academic journey, as well as understand why Alpha Lambda Mu is important to you.
STEP 5
Final review & decision
Once we've met and consolidated with the remainder of the executive board, we'll come to a decision and move from there.
The entirety of this process takes between 2 - 4 weeks, if there are no issues and/or delays.
